That’s something some devs I follow spoke at today. The activities and hints stuff is cool in theory but that’s a lot more work for the devs to do as well as needing to locate it all into different languages. They’re giving the impression that the onus is on them and not Sony to utilise it.

Exactly, I imagine some low hanging fruit bits might be done (like achievement/quest tracking) as that's already mostly a thing. But help videos? Maybe, but could be a lot of work especially on smaller games.
Did Xbox 2013 show something like this when demoing having youtube and a game open at the same time?
Have they confirmed their Quick Resume alternative yet?

Re: PS5 - Sony's big boy
During the time away, Sony finally started showing the PS5.
Not sure if I like everything about the UX here. The activity cards seem huge and the extra work that and the hints system if putting in developers seems to be one of those things that sounds cool but might get quickly ignored due to lack of third party support. However, I do like just how clean the whole UI is. The new PS5 mobile app is fantastic and really blows the new Xbox one out of the water.
They also confirmed that Bugsnax is going to be free on PS+ until January but you need to redeem it on the PS5 console, rather than on PS4 or on the web. So you need to own the system to get the game which is a bit unfair.
They also listed the launch games for the Playstation Plus Collection and it’s a pretty solid list of games. If I had a PS5 at launch, I’d sub to that probably.
They also showed off some more gameplay. With press finally having PS5 units, we’re about to see a lot more embargo’s drop.

Re: PS5 - Sony's big boy
One of the things everybody has been looking forward to is custom PS5 plates for those huge white wings. However, one of the first companies that was moving into that market have been forced out of it. Sony went after then with legal action and they cancelled all orders.
It also seems like Sony is not looking at native PSVR support for PS5. Games like Hitman 3 which support PSVR will ask that you play the PS4 version of the game to use the VR mode on PS5.

The reviews look good. That controller looks brilliant. I'm probably gonna buy one of these consoles by next year. Think Sony just has the edge at the moment for me.
Re: PS5 - Sony's big boy
The lack of expandable storage support for now, the inability to move games off the SSD, the very small internal storage, the actually slower load time (compared to Series X), the lack of proper VR support. This launch seems quite rough for Sony.
The controller however sounds incredible. I will pick one up, but in no rush.

I think I'll probably pick one up when Ratchet and Clank launches as I have absolutely no interest in Demon’s Souls.
Spiderman is great and Miles Morales look like an interesting expansion. But not something that makes the PS5 a must buy for me yet. Let's hope they can manage to get more stock ready in time for R&C’s launch
